note #69
We all live in this city though we never really know it. The city has a life of its own. It breathes and pulses beneath us, around us, through us. Each of us experience it differently, but never fully. To each of us it shows a different face. The city never sleeps. It is always restless, always scheming. Through eyes we never see it constantly watches us. In buildings, streets and alleyways it always knows what we're doing. In our darkest dreams it creeps. The city rules us, who think it ruled by men. We created this thing. This living being of steel and concrete, brick and mortar, bones and trash.
