Once I saw the sea gulls flying
And heard the Red Bull crying
In the lees of the sea.
Once I was of man
And as a child I would stand
For hours upon the grey rock shores.
Once the thought to capture me
And sell my heart and soul to slavery
Of the dutiful flesh.
Once I was a woman born
But now my halo won't sit straight
Between my crown of horns.
Once I was mortal lover of demons
Nightly lost to the dreams
Of sinful desires.
Now immortal I wander
And cast my nets afar
For unknown lovers
Strayed from
My ancient
Shores.
